Television drama director Kaushik Sankar Das is set to start shooting his first film, "Punch" from next month.

The cast and crew will start working on the film from March 4. The director posted a photo on his Facebook profile with a hashtag #Punch2020, on Wednesday.

The film, produced by Mominul Haque under the banner of Zero Aowaj Films, features Niloy Alamgir and Meghla Mukta in lead roles, among others.

The story of the film revolves around Kabir, who is a national boxing champion. Kabir gets inspired by the mixed martial arts lifestyle. He gets deep into the corruptions of the boxing industry which destroys his inner peace. The action film will also show how Kabir's inner conflict affects his marital life with his wife Asha.

Kaushik Sankar Das also wrote the story and dialogues of the film. He is also working as the cinematographer of this project.

5 members of the Thailand based JAIKA Stunts Team will work on the project as stunt co-ordinators.
