‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ acclaimed in London Film Festival

Bangladesh’s first omnibus movie “Iti, Tomari Dhaka” has received great accolades in the Bagri Foundation London-Indian Film Festival.
The film, a production of Impress Telefilm Limited, was screened on June 23 in London and will be shown again on June 27 at 6pm; it is also scheduled to be screened in Manchester from June 26 till June 29.
The Bagri Film Festival is being held in London, Birmingham and Manchester. It started on June 20 and will continue till June 29.
The film, produced by Abu Shahed Emon, describes Dhaka residents’ struggle in the hustle and bustle of the city life.
“Iti, Tomari Dhaka” was directed by 11 young directors – Golam Kibria Farooki, Mahmudul Islam, Mir Mokarram Hossain, Rahat Rahman, Rabiul Alam Robi, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan, Syed Ahmed Shouki, Tanim Nur, Tanvir, Krishnendu Chatterjee, and Nuhash Humayun.
Earlier, the film participated in the eighth edition of Toronto South Asian International Film Festival. It won the Russian Guild of Film Critics Award on April 30 in the 15th edition of Kazan International Muslim Film Festival. Before that, the film was screened at Bangaluru International Film Festival's 11th edition. It was also screened at Cambodia International Film Festival in May.
