Indian actors react on Twitter to India's defeat against New Zealand

Indian actors tweeted heartfelt messages for the Indian cricket team

Indian fraternity flooded their twitter account showing support to the Indian cricket team after the fan favorite suffered a massive defeat by the powerful Kiwis.

Aamir on his twitter account wrote a heartfelt letter to the Indian captain, Virat Kohli and to the cricket team.

He started the letter by addressing, "Hard luck Virat," and then went on to pen down his emotions by stating that it “Just wasn't our day today. For me, India had already won the World Cup when we qualified for the semis at the top of the list as the No 1 team. Well played guys, throughout the tournament. I just wish it hadn't rained yesterday.... The result might have been different." The actor signed off the note, saying "But well done, proud of our team. Love."

Amitabh Bachchan also expressed his views about the loss of his beloved team India. He said that losing hurts but India will surely come back bigger and better.

Aamir Khan wasn’t the only one to express his reactions on twitter. Several other Bollywood stars including Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Bipasha Basu, Ayushmann Khurrana and others appreciated team India's performance in the tournament.

Karan Johar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu, and Siddharth shared words of encouragement to the team in their respective twitter accounts.

India lost to New Zealand on Wednesday by 18 runs in the World Cup semi- final which was held at the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester.
