Amidst all the fiasco surrounding the recent casino busts, Arefin Shuvo invites his fans to engage into a game of 'Shapludu' with him on 27th November.

The Business Standard had the opportunity to interview the popular actor and he revealed quite a few interesting details about his upcoming movie "Shapladu."

Arefin Shuvo is optimistic about his latest project, "Everybody will like the movie. It has a brilliant cast comprising of Zahid Hasan, Salauddin Lavlu, Marzuk Rasel, Bidya Sinha Mim, Runa Khan and many more in pivotal roles".

"The movie is a political thriller which is filled with twists and turns that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats. People of every age-group, be it old or young will certainly fall in love with the movie".

The 'Dhaka Attack' actor urged his fans flock the movie theaters, "Please show your love towards my new movie as you have done with my previous ones. Come to the hall and enjoy the movie "Shapludu" with your loved ones.'

Shuvo also talked about the extensive work before the shooting of the movie, "We had to participate in a three month long workshop to get ready for the roles and set the look and costume for the movie."

However, the busy actor remains modest regarding his performance, "It is hard for an actor to be satisfied with his performance. An artist always thrives to get better. I cannot say it was my best role but my director was definitely happy with my work. And that made me happy as well."

Though the director of the film Golam Sohrab Dodul was making TV serials for a long time, this is his first venture into the silver screen. Arefin Shuvo is all praise for the debutant director, "Dodul bhai has been working in the industry for a long time. The amount of effort he puts to make sure that his work is impeccable leaves no traces of mistakes. He brought out his A-game and everyone will get to see the result on-screen."

Shuvo revealed that this is the first movie ever to explore locations in Bangladesh that has never been used for shooting.

The actor said, "This is the first time ever that a movie took a bold decision to shoot in the risky outskirts of Bangladesh. As per director's choice and film's requirement the shooting took place around the Rohingya camps in Teknaf. Dodul left no stone unturned. The producers also wanted to make the movie in a grand scale so the audience could be enthralled. My heartiest thanks to Bengal Multimedia and RTV for their endless contribution."

Lastly when the actor was asked to rate his performance in the film, "Probably 5 out of 10 but the real rating will come from the audience" Shubho replied with a smile.

Shapludu is a political thriller which revolves around an attack on one of the central characters. Investigation takes place to capture the miscreants. As the story gathers pace, the plot thickens up and mysteries start to unfold.
