Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) has undertaken an initiative to bring all sort of industries, including cottage, micro, small, medium, and large ones, under the purview of online registration or e-registration.

Pilot activities for this e-registration process were launched on Tuesday in BSCIC's ICT Cell. All procedures of the scheme will be completed online, said a press release.

BSCIC hoped that the scheme would be fully operational by the last week of December.

Earlier, the BSCIC's Extension Department had organized an event, titled "Industrial Registration Facilitation and Registration Certificate Giving Ceremony."

Addressing the occasion, BSCIC Chairman Md Mostaaq Hasan announced BSIC's decision to launch the e-registration service to facilitate industrial registration.

With the introduction of the service, entrepreneurs will be able to get their industries registered from the comfort of their own homes, he added.
