Around 45,000 Bangladeshis are working in the garment sector of Jordan

Bangladesh Embassy in Jordan is continuing diplomatic efforts to secure Bangladeshi labour market amid the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

The embassy is also providing food assistance to the Bangladeshi workers in the country, a press release said.

Around 45,000 Bangladeshis are working in the garment sector of Jordan. The embassy is maintaining full time communication with the garment factories' authorities.

The press release said Nahida Sobhan, Bangladeshi ambassador in Jordan, met the authorities of different garment factories at Irbid about various matters related to the interest of the Bangladeshi workers.

She sat for a meeting with the authority of Classic Fashion Apparel Industry Ltd, the largest garment factory of Jordan.

There are 15,000 skilled workers are working in the factory.

She also sat with the authorities of Century Miracle factory and Bangladeshi owned Galaxy Apparels Industry Ltd.

The ambassador also held a meeting with the Bangladeshi garment workers.
