DSE turnover fell by 5% in response to imposing floor price

The turnover of the Dhaka bourse declined by 5% owing to reinstating the floor price for 169 small-cap scrips.

On Thursday, the turnover value of the DSE stood at Tk428 crore, which was Tk452 crore in the previous session.

In the session, the key index DSEX of the Dhaka Stock Exchange fell by 0.95 points to 6213.74 points.

Blue-chip index DS30 declined by 0.09% to 2,216, while Shariah-compliant stocks' index DSES was 0.03% lower at 1,357.

During the session, 72 companies' share prices advanced, while 88 declined and 149 remained unchanged.

State-owned company Zeal Bangla Sugar Mills gained 10%, Shyampur Sugar Mills 9.98%, ADN Telecom gained 9.98%, among the firms while Bangladesh General Insurance Company gained 9.83% among the scrips on the top gainers.
