Stockbrokers, merchant bankers form committee to work together

Leaders of both the communities held a meeting on Thursday and came up with the joint committee

Stockbrokers and merchant bankers formed a 12-member coordination committee to work together for development of the country's capital market.

Leaders of the Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association and the DSE Brokers' Association held a meeting on Thursday and later came up with the joint committee, which will help both the communities work in a synchronised way.

Both the associations are equally participating in the coordination committee, with six of their executive committee members representing own community.

Mohammad Ali, Richard D Rozario, Md Sazedul Islam, Wali Ul Islam, Md Saufuddin, and Ziad Rahman are the DBA representatives, while Md Moniruzzaman, MD Abu Bakar, Mahbub H Mazumder, Mohammad Hamdul Islam, Mohammad Nazrul Islam and Nur Ahmad will represent the BMBA.

DBA President Md Shakil Rizvi congratulated the newly elected leaders of the BMBA during the meeting.
