Stocks fell amid lower turnover

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) dropped by 72 points to 14,651

Indices of the both stock exchanges witnessed a downward trend over investors selling pressure in the first one and half hour trading session on Thursday.

In this session, DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell 21.34 points or 0.41 percent to 5,101.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) dropped by 72 points to 14,651.

Turnover of the DSE trading floor also fell by 31% to Tk275.72 crore during the period till 11:30 am.

Moreover, DSE shariah index DSES lost 8.10 points to 1,177 and blue-chip index DS30 dropped 15.22 points to 1,790.

Following the investors movement 115 companies share price rose, while 132 issues fell and 96 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
