Turnover on the DSE trading floor slightly dropped by 5 percent to Tk432.61 crore in the corresponding period amid floor price limitation

Equity indices of the country's two major bourses traded in the green during the first one-and-half-hour session on Sunday as the investors persisted with their buying appetite in sector-wise stocks with return potential. 

However, turnover on the DSE trading floor slightly dropped by 5 percent to Tk432.61 crore in the corresponding period amid floor price limitation.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) increased by 33.87 points – or 0.68 percent - to reach at 4,961 till 11:30am.

Moreover, the Shariah-based DSES index gained 3.61 points to settle at 1,145 and the blue-chip index DS30 rose by 8.95 points to stand at 1,724.

Out of the 348 issues traded during the same time frame, 208 company's share prices advanced, 89 declined, and 51 remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has increased 82 points to reach 14,148.
