Indices of the both stock exchanges plunged amid investors selling pressure in the first one-and-half hour of trading session on Tuesday.

"Market is witnessing slow trend in the last couple of sessions as investors are into profit taking mood," according to market analysts.

DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) lost 0.39% or 23 points to settle at 5,577 till 11:30 am.

During this session, DSE turnover rose by 5% to Tk269.35 crore.

Moreover, DSE Shariah index fell by 0.45% to 1,248 points and blue-chip index DS30 fell 0.68% to 2,110 points.

During this session, 125 companies share price rose, while 105 issues fell and 105 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) lost by 102 points to 16,194 till 11:30 am.
