Stocks continue downward trend

The total trade on DSE trading floor reached to Tk95.37 crore at 12:00pm

The two main bourses of the country were seen to continue its downward movement for the second consecutive day amid the uncertainty and fear of coronavirus infection spike due to restriction ease.

However, indices jumped sharp over the floor price on May 31 as trading resumed after two months of shutdown due to coronavirus outbreak.

In the first one-and-half-hour of trading, DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchanges (DSE), decreased 0.66% or 26 points to reach at 3972.

The blue chip index DS30 also dropped by 13 points to 1333 and shariah index DSES dropped by 8 points to 921.

Most of the issues or 183 company's share prices have been unchanged, while only 10 increased and 55 declined.

The total trade on DSE trading floor reached to Tk95.37 crore at 12:00pm.

Besides, the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) key index also slumped today. CASPI, the key index of CSE has declined 66 points to reach at 11,274 over the same time frame.
