Phoenix Finance to pay 12% dividend

The company declared a 6% cash and 6% stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2019

Phoenix Finance and Investments Limited is due to pay a 6% cash and 6% stock dividend to its shareholders for the year that ended on December 31, 2019.

The non-bank financial institution declared the dividend at its 25th annual general meeting (AGM) held virtually on September 17, 2020. 

Phoenix Finance and Investments Chairman Azizur Rahman presided over the meeting. A large number of shareholders took part in the AGM virtually, read a press release.

Shareholder directors Md Jamirul Islam, Dost Mohammad, Md Rafiqur Rahman, and Rakibul Islam Khan; independent director Reshad Imam and managing director of the company SM Intekhab Alam participated in the meeting.         

Mohammad Sayduzzaman, FCA, FCS, deputy managing director and company secretary, along with other executives of Phoenix Finance and Investments also attended the AGM. 

The shareholders unanimously approved the agenda and expressed deep satisfaction with the performance of the company and the declaration of the dividend.
