DSE turnover drops 23%

Turnover dropped to Tk411.72 crore amid floor price limitation till 11:30am

Stocks traded on a moderate note at opening while turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) trading floor plummeted by 23 percent during the first one-and-half-hour trading session on Thursday.  

Turnover, an important indicator of the market, dropped to Tk411.72 crore amid floor price limitation. 

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE increased by 11.51 points – or 0.23 percent - to reach at 4,983 till 11:30am.

Moreover, the Shariah based DSES index gained 3.64 points to settle at 1,150 and the blue-chip index DS30 rose by 2.32 points to stand at 1,729.

Out of the 352 issues traded during the same time frame, 175 company's share prices advanced, 112 declined, and 65 remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has increased 32.86 points to close at 14,227.

Of the issues traded till then, 108 gained, 71 declined, and 33 issues remained unchanged with Tk86 million in turnover.
