DSE holds workshop on internet-based trading

In the context of the ongoing outbreak, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) organised a workshop on online-based trading for the stock brokers.

The workshop titled Role of Stock Brokers in Internet Based Trading was held during June 14-15, said a press release.

The DSE Chief Operating Officer M Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar inaugurated it on June 14.

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Director Mohammad Rezaul Karim conducted the workshop.

Shaifur Rahman said, "Online-based trading is becoming more important for the general investors amid the ongoing outbreak."

"But all the compliance issues will have to be followed during this time. The DSE mobile application can play an important part here."

"Every brokerage house needs to take the necessary steps to make online trading popular with investors. The DSE will provide all possible assistance."

Four hundred participants took part in the four sections of the workshop.
