Buyers’ activity increases in bourses
DSE already has recorded Tk148 crore turnovers in first 80 minutes
Stocks opened green on Monday with an increase in buy orders.
Within the first 75 minutes of trading DSEX, the key benchmark at the Dhaka Stock Exchange, it went 0.45 percent up, but is still below 4,000 points-mark.
A significant improvement in trading is seen under the newly imposed floor prices for individual scrips with an increased turnover at the beginning of session.
"Looks like some investors decided to put buy orders above the floor prices, which was not strongly observed on Sunday," a brokerage official told The Business Standard.
She informed about active bidders in more than 100 scrips.
That helped increase the pace in trading and the DSE already has recorded Tk148 crore turnovers in first 80 minutes, which was Tk145 crore in the entire session yesterday.
Of the scrips traded at the DSE, 88 gained and 42 lost price. 211 scrips are yet to see any changes in price.
