BSEC fines 2 CSE brokerage firms Tk2 lakh each

The capital market regulator has decided to fine two brokerage firms of Chittagong Stock Exchange for violating securities law.

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), following the 752nd commission meeting presided over by its Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, said on Wednesday both firms would have to pay Tk2 lakh each in fines.

The firms are International Securities Company Ltd and North West Securities Ltd.

However, the regulator did not elaborate on the violations by the firms.
