Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar appointed chief operating officer of DSE

Before joining the DSE, M Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar was the managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Chittagong Stock Exchange.

M Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar has joined as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

Before joining the DSE, M Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar was the managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Chittagong Stock Exchange.

He also worked as a director and CEO of Corporate Support Ltd, a management and financial consultancy firm. 

As a seasoned professional, Shaifur has been involved in the private sector in different capacities for last twenty-two years. 

He has a wide range of experiences in capital market, financial management, export and production management, HR management, management consultancy etc. 

He served in business and industrial field in different positions such as company secretary, controller of finance, finance director, executive director, CEO, managing director with utmost sincerity, honesty and reputation.

He is a renowned chartered accountant and a cost and management accountant and also a fellow member of apex accounting bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). 

He earned his BCom (Hon's) and MCom (Accounting) degrees from the University of Chittagong. 

During his training in chartered accountancy, Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar worked at the KPMG Rahman Rahman Huq, one of the leading audit and consultancy firms of Bangladesh.
