SAFA International Conference 2021 held
Prof Dr Md Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan, chairman of Financial Reporting Council (FRC) spoke as the keynote speaker at the conference
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) recently organised a two-day long SAFA International Conference 2021 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel and ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium in Dhaka. The conference took place from Friday to Saturday.
The theme for this year's conference was "Digitalization of Accounting & Auditing Practices: Challenges and Opportunities to Protect Public Interest."
Planning Minister MA Mannan MP, inaugurated the conference as its chief guest, while Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, comptroller and auditor general of Bangladesh and Dr Md Jafar Uddin, secretary, Ministry of Commerce spoke as special guests.
Also, Prof Dr Md Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan, chairman of Financial Reporting Council spoke as keynote speaker.
Among others AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA, president and HM Hennayake Bandara, vice-president of Safa; Md Jasim Uddin Akond FCMA, president, ICMAB, Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA, president of Icab, Md Abdul Aziz FCMA, chairman, Safa International Conference 2021 and Md Mamunur Rashid FCMA, chairman, Safa and International Relations Committee of ICMAB spoke on the occasion.
Kevin Dancey, CEO of International Federation of Accountants, Salvador Marin, president, European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for small and medium-sized enterprises, Teerachai Arunruangsirilert, deputy president, ASEAN Federation of Accountants, Brian Blood, chief executive, Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants, Alta Prinsloo, CEO, Pan African Federation of Accountants virtually attended the programme.
