More than 95 percent workers' salary has already been disbursed, said Monirul Alam, chairman of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Media Committee, today.

He claimed that the BGMEA were trying "heart and soul" to pay rest of the salary soon.

The chairman further added that despite the cancellation of Tk27,000 crore worth orders, equivalent to over six months salary of the garment sector, the BGMEA members were still striving hard to pay the salary.
