Air-conditioned restaurant VAT drops to 10%
The government has reduced the value-added tax (VAT) for air-conditioned (AC) restaurants to 10% from 15%.
Besides, the VAT for non-AC restaurants has been set at 5%, which was 7.5% earlier.
The reduction was passed in Jatiya Sangsad through the Finance Bill today.
