Malaysia keen to explore investment prospect in Bangladesh

The BMCCI president urged Malaysian investors and business people to invest in the emerging economy of Bangladesh

Acting Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Amir Farid Abu Hassan on Monday laid emphasis on exploring business and investment opportunities in Bangladesh.

He was addressing a seminar in the city organised by Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

BMCCI President Syed Moazzam Hossain and Director of Oil, Gas, Chemicals and Energy Section of MATRADE Jai Shankar also spoke at the seminar, said a press release.  

The BMCCI President presented a paper on the overview of Bangladesh market landscape and highlighted the present scenario of business and investment in the country.

He also urged Malaysian investors and business people to invest in the emerging economy of Bangladesh.

Deputy Secretary and Director (Investment Research and Economic Observatory) at Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Suman Chowdhury presented a paper on 'Investment Opportunities in Bangladesh' and Secretary General, Bangladesh Chemical Importers and Merchants Association Abul Kalam Azad presented separate paper on the 'Demands and Opportunities for Chemicals & Chemical Products in Bangladesh.'
