ICC Bangladesh delegation called on President Abdul Hamid

A 7-member delegation of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh called on President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday.

Mahbubur Rahman, the president of the ICC Bangladesh, briefed Md Abdul Hamid regarding activities of the ICC Bangladesh and also the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Conference on financing inclusive and sustainable development to be held on December 10-12, 2019.

The Asia-Pacific conference will focus on exploring a new financial landscape for Asia and the Pacific. Rahman also mentioned that this year the ICC is having the centenary celebration and silver jubilee celebration of the ICC Bangladesh.

President Abdul Hamid said trade and investment is the main component of socio-economic development. He also praised the role of chambers including the ICC Bangladesh for promoting trade and investment. 

The President urged the chamber leaders to create new entrepreneurs and to explore the new business sector.

Led by its president Mahbubur Rahman, the ICC Bangladesh delegation included executive board members: AK Azad, Aftab ul Islam, Mir Nasir Hossain, Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), Md Fazlul Hoque and ICC Bangladesh Secretary General Ataur Rahman.
