MTB Foundation celebrates first batch of skilled workforce trainees
MTB Foundation recently celebrated the successful graduation of the first batch of MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI), its flagship project under the "Education" sector, by distributing certificates among graduates who completed a six-month market-relevant skills training programme accredited by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA).
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of project MUSTI, which aims to provide skills training to 1,200 underprivileged youth over a period of three years.
Crests were awarded to top-performing trainers in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the successful implementation of the course.
Under the programme, trainees completed training across five specialised trades – Beautification, Tailoring and Dress Making, Bakery and Pastry Production, Graphic Design, and Electrical Installation and Maintenance – equipping them with industry-relevant technical competencies and professional skills aimed at enhancing employability and promoting entrepreneurship.
The certificate distribution ceremony of the first batch of MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI) was held in the presence of Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director, Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB); Md Nazrul Islam, Branch Manager, MTB Mymensingh Branch; Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation; and Golam Rabbani and Nazmus Sakib, Associates of MTB Foundation.
Abu Saleh Mohammed Ferdous Khan, Director, Public Partnership Management, UCEP Bangladesh; and Md Humayun Kabir, Regional Manager, UCEP Bangladesh, were also present at the event.
