LABAID hosts ‘Beat Dengue’ session to boost awareness and preparedness
LABAID held a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on dengue titled "BEAT DENGUE: Awareness, Action and Prevention" today, bringing together Senior Consultants, Medical Officers, Nurses and other support staff to strengthen preparedness amid the ongoing dengue situation.
The programme was widely appreciated as a timely and significant initiative in response to the current public health challenge.
The seminar was chaired by Professor Dr Samiron Kumar Saha.
The keynote technical paper was presented by Dr Suman Chandra Roy, followed by an interactive discussion that encouraged active participation from attendees.
The expert panel comprised Dr Sankar Narayan Das, Dr Md Sayedul Islam and Dr Noor Mohammad, who shared their insights and expertise on dengue prevention, diagnosis and management.
The session focused on enhancing awareness, preparedness and clinical management of dengue, reinforcing LABAID's commitment to delivering high-quality patient care during the current public health challenge.
At the conclusion of the programme, Ahmad Dawood, FCA, FCMA, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LABAID, presented a crest to the speaker in recognition of his contribution as the paper presenter.
He also expressed appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and support.
Addressing the audience, Dawood emphasised that LABAID's guiding principle should be to prevent even a single death from dengue.
He urged all concerned to remain fully prepared to combat the disease through effective preventive measures, early diagnosis and appropriate clinical interventions, ensuring the highest standard of care for every patient.
The seminar was moderated by Brigadier General (Retd) Professor Dr Subhash Chandra Roy, Medical Director of LABAID Specialized Hospital.
