Huawei holds campus recruitment programmes at Buet, Cuet
Huawei recently organised campus recruitment programmes at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology.
The events were arranged to provide fresh graduates from the two universities with career opportunities at Huawei.
Around 400 students from different departments of the two universities took part in the recruitment process.
Following multiple-choice examinations and interviews, selected candidates will be offered positions to begin their careers with Huawei.
Kaushik Ahmed Reza, Senior Marketing Manager at Huawei, and Iftekhar Rahman, Human Resources Manager, were present at both universities.
At Buet, the event was attended by Cieren, Vice President of Delivery and Service, while Md Fara Newas, Deputy Director of Human Resources, joined the programme at Cuet.
Maben, Managing Director of Huawei South Asia, said the company offers regular employment opportunities for local talent, including fresh graduates.
"Through our campus recruitment programmes, we aim to provide promising graduates with opportunities to apply their knowledge in Huawei's dynamic global environment and develop industry-relevant skills," he said.
He said the recruitment drive would help Huawei bring in skilled professionals who can contribute to the advancement of Bangladesh's information and communication technology sector.
ABM Alim Al Islam, Professor at Buet, said Huawei's engagement with academia helps create career opportunities for engineering graduates.
"Such initiatives help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enabling students to gain exposure to real-world challenges and emerging technologies," he said.
Mehedi Hasan Choudhury, Professor at Cuet, said the campus recruitment programme gave students a platform to connect with a global technology company.
"Opportunities like these not only open new career pathways for graduates but also encourage them to enhance their technical competencies and industry readiness," he said.
He said Huawei's commitment to nurturing young talent and supporting Bangladesh's development is commendable.
Huawei said most of its workforce in Bangladesh consists of locally recruited professionals.
The company said its Bangladesh team contributes not only to local operations but also to Huawei's regional and global operations.
