EBL marks environment day to advance sustainable banking practices
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) marked World Environment Day 2026 with an interactive session, "Leaders Driving Sustainable Change", at its head office in Dhaka, underscoring its commitment to sustainable banking and environmental stewardship.
Aligned with this year's global theme, "Inspired by Nature, For Climate, For Our Future", the event brought together leaders from business, development and sustainability sectors to discuss how institutions can accelerate progress towards a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
Speakers included Dr Md Enamul Haque, National Director, SOS Children's Villages Bangladesh; Armana Ahmed and Dr Asadulghani of icddr,b; and Shihab Ahmed, Chief Sales Officer, Shanta Holdings Ltd.
