All Broadcasters Community elects Jafry as President, Devashish Secretary General
All Broadcasters Community (ABC), a platform for news and current affairs presenters, talk show hosts, radio jockeys, and program anchors from various TV channels and radio stations, has officially announced its full executive committee. During a meeting on January 14, 2025, at ABC Headquarters, the newly elected President, Chowdhury Daulat Mohammed Jafry, and Secretary General, Devashish Ranjan Sarker of Jamuna TV, revealed the full committee lineup.
This announcement followed ABC's first annual general meeting held during the ABC Family Day 2025 celebration on January 10 at a resort in Purbachal, Dhaka. Key attendees included the Press Secretary to the President, Sarwar Alam, Director General of Bangladesh Betar, A S M Jahid, and President of Police Nari Kollan Sohostha, Helena Afroz. It was unanimously decided to establish a 27-member central executive council for the next two years.
Chowdhury Daulat Mohammed Jafry was elected President, and Devashish Ranjan Sarker was appointed as General Secretary. Other prominent members include Vice Presidents Sadia Afreen (BTV), Liza Chowdhury (GTV), Nahid Zaman Soma (Banglavision), and Nujhat Afrin (SATV). The committee also features Joint Secretaries Shawon Ahasanur Rahman (Ekattor TV), Hasan Mahadi (Star News), Mamun Abdullah (Banglavision), and Treasurer Rajesh Ranjan Sarkar (Global TV). Ashfaqur Rahman Adnan (SATV) serves as Organizing Secretary, with Dr. Rashida Sultana Rinku (Mohona TV) as Health Secretary, and Rifat Shishir (SATV) as Cultural Secretary. Nabil Kaiser (T Sports) is the Sports Secretary, while Anwar Sarkar Raj (Asian TV) oversees Education, Training & Research. Rashid Kamal is the Social Welfare Secretary, and Sinthia Rahman (RTV) handles Office Affairs. Tamanna Nahid Khan is the ICT Secretary, Mamunur Rashid Raz (GTV) is Publicity & Publication Secretary, Rehnuma Choiti (GTV) is Event Secretary, and Mostafa Kamal Toha (DBC News) manages Legal Affairs. Sabrina Chowdhury (SA TV) is the Women Welfare Secretary, with Shipon Ahasan, Reaz Hafiz (ETV), Faisal Titumir (Jamuna TV), Ahmed Reza (Jamuna TV), and Fahim Rahman (Ekattor TV) completing the executive member list.
Founded on June 7, 2024, ABC is dedicated to supporting TV and radio presenters, enhancing their welfare, and fostering professional growth in the broadcasting industry.
