AIUB organizes seminar on Safe Internet for Academic Excellence

A seminar was held on "Safe Internet for Academic Excellence" organized by the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) and Computer Science Department of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in association with AIUB Computer Club (ACC). 

Vice Chancellor of AIUB Dr Carmen Z Lamagna presided over the programme held on 8 November, reads a press release. 

Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present as the chief guest. 

President, ISPAB and Director and COO, Optimax Communication Limited  Md Emdadul Hoque, Director, ISPAB and Director and CEO, InfoLink Ltd Sakif Ahmed, Secretary General, ISPAB and Managing Director, KS Network Ltd Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan, Founder and President, Nijer Bolar Moto Ekta Golpo Iqbal Bahar Zahid were present there as special guests.

Dean, Faculty of Engineering of AIUB Prof A B M Siddique Hossian was also present there. 

Professor Dr Siddique Hossian discussed the curriculum and facilities of IT sectors such as Data Science, AI, Robotics, Block Chain, etc. Mr. Iqbal Bahar Zahid shared his IT foundation's history and experience. 

Sakif Ahmed described his IT schooling and discussed ESPAB's features and plans, such as fairs, internship opportunities, training sections.

Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan spoke about safe internet use, cost and internet speed. 

Emdadul Haque talked about subsea cables, dial-up capacity, and the excellent service provided by them. 

The Chief Guest and Honorable Minister, Mustafa Jabbar, gave his valuable speech. 

He discussed Digital Bangladesh, the Bangabandhu Satellite and 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. He also discussed two-step verification and internet security in the conclusion of his speech.  

At the conclusion of the session, Honorable Vice Chancellor of AIUB Dr Carmen Z. Lamagna, shared some of her valuable thoughts about a safe internet for the world. She handed over crests and presents to the guests and wrapped up the event by expressing appreciation to everyone involved in the programme.
