Ceramic expo in city from December 5

A total of 500 buyers, including 300 international delegates, will participate in the expo

The Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2019 will be held at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital from December 5 to 7.

Ceramic industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in Bangladesh. The aim of the expo is to make the companies and products of this sector known internationally.

Organisers of the expo, Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCMEA), made the disclosure while addressing a press briefing at the city's Dhaka Club.

The trade show aims to promote and encourage vested international parties of the ceramic industry for building a strong business relationship with Bangladesh's ceramics industry.

Sirajul Islam Mollah, president of BCMEA, said, "Ceramic products from Bangladesh will be highlighted at the expo in the international arena and relationships with local customers will be strengthened."

Detailing the fair, he explained, "Twenty countries will participate in the expo and a total of hundred and fifty brands will display their products in over a hundred stalls."

A total of 500 buyers, including 300 international delegates, will participate in the expo, he added.

Sirajul Islam also said that the expo will act to create awareness among the local consumers about the usage of ceramic products and raise awareness regarding marketing and usage of ceramic products will be raised at the expo.

Adding that customers will have attractive discounts at the expo, Sirajul Islam said, "Sales centres, along with display centres, will be available at the expo."

The fair will be open to all from 11am to 8pm on the first and second days and the third day of the fair will be open to all from 9am to 5pm.

The expo will host five seminars on problems concerning the ceramic sector, its prospects and the country's economy.

Akij Ceramics Limited and Sheltech Ceramics Limited are the gold sponsors for this year's Ceramic Expo Bangladesh. The silver sponsors are DBL Ceramics, Monno Ceramics and Protik Ceramics.

BCMEA started hosting the ceramic expo for the first time in 2017. About 70 organizations participated in the expo that year.
