"FBCCI seeks the cooperation of all ministries concerned in implementing programmes in various sectors"

The Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Saturday termed the proposed national budget pro-people and business-friendly.

Sheikh Fazle Fahim, president of the country’s apex trade body, made the comment during a post-budget press conference at the Federation Bhaban in the capital.

He said Bangladesh’s economy has stood on a strong footing due to implementation of people-oriented and business-friendly budgets by the Awami League-led governments over the last 10 years.

The fruits of the political and economic vision 2021 and 2041 of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now visible all over the country, observed the FBCCI chief.

He said the FBCCI seeks the cooperation of all ministries concerned in implementing programmes in various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, service, research and development.

The implementation of the proposed budget for fiscal 2019-20 should be monitored properly from beginning to achieve the desired goals, he observed.
