Biman Bangladesh gets first Muktijoddha Corner

Books on the 1971 Liberation War have been kept in the Muktijoddha Corner

The first 'Muktijoddha Corner' of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines was inaugurated at its headquarters in Dhaka on October 7.

Air Marshall Muhammad Enamul Bari, chairman, board of directors of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines formally inaugurated the corner in the presence of directors and senior officials of the national flag carrier. 

Books on the 1971 Liberation War written by renowned writers of the country have been kept in the Muktijoddha Corner, set up to inspire the young generation in the spirit of the Liberation War and help teach the correct history about the birth of Bangladesh.  

"Biman Bangladesh Airlines now has a Muktijoddha Corner similar to other government offices. The corner hosts books, CDs and other different publication material on Liberation War with full access for the public," said Muhammad Enamul Bari.

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines made great impact during the Liberation War of 1971. A total 28 employees from different ranks of the airlines were martyred during the war.
