United Commercial Bank (UCB) and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) expressed their willingness to work together on the development of the capital market, a press release said.

Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny, chairman of Executive Committee of UCB recently attended a courtesy meeting with Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

During the meeting, they discussed the current capital market scenario and expressed their eagerness to work together toward its development.

Anisuzzaman Chowdhury provided assurances that, as a financial institution, UCB has a vested interest in the sustainable growth of the capital market and will support BSEC in its development.

Professor Dr Md Jonaid Shafiq, director of UCB; Muhammed Shawkat Jamil, managing director of UCB, and other senior officials, among others, were also present during the meeting.
