United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) has launched STM (Smart Teller Machine) for the first time in Bangladesh.

STM will provide instant account opening, instant debit card print, cheque book requisition and other banking service without direct footfall to the bank or standing on queue. 

Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny, chairman of the executive committee of UCB, inaugurated the facility through a flamboyant programme on Tuesday, says a press release.

Among others, managing director of UCB Mohammed Shawkat Jamil; its additional managing director Arif Quadri; deputy managing director N Mustafa Tarek; deputy managing director Md Abdullah Al Mamoon; senior executive vice president and company secretary ATM Tahmiduzzaman along with other senior executives were present at the event.
