The Bangladesh Bank has instructed all banks to set up a help desk at every branch to aid applicants seeking loans under the stimulus packages.

The central bank instruction, which came through a circular issued on Thursday, also asked banks to set up a notice board at each branch showing relevant information.

The head office of each bank will have to closely monitor the loan disbursement activities under those packages.

The Bangladesh Bank also instructed the banks to evaluate loan applications within the shortest possible time. And if a loan cannot be disbursed, the bank must inform that applicant about the matter quickly.

To revive the Covid-19 affected economy, the government announced TK103,117 crore stimulus packages to provide low interest loan facilities to industries and services.
