Four state banks sign syndicate project loan facility agreement

Four state-owned banks including Agrani bank has signed a syndicate project loan facility agreement with Meghnaghat Power Limited at a city hotel on Wednesday.

Sonali, Agrani, Janata and Rupali banks are providing loan for an under-construction 584-megawatt pawer plant at Sonargaon in Narayanganj, said a press release.

The Tk4073.84 crore project is being implemented by Unique Meghnaghat Power Limited while Agrani Bank will be the lead arranger and agent bank of Tk3055.38.

General Manager of Agrani Bank, Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, GMs of other banks and Chowdhury Nafis Sarafat, Managing Director of Unique Meghnaghat Power Limited signed the agreement at the event.

Agrani Bank chairman, Dr Jayed Bakhat was the chief guest of the programme where other top officials were present.
