Exim Bank signs deal with Bangladesh Bank

Exim Bank has recently signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank under which the private commercial bank will avail of refinancing facility from the central bank. 

Knondkar Morshed Millat, general manager for sustainable finance department of Bangladesh Bank and Dr Mohammed Haider Ali Miah, managing director of Exim Bank signed the deal on behalf of their respective organisations, said a media statement. 

Ahmed Jamal, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank attended the event as the chief guest. 

Under this agreement, the Exim Bank will get refinancing facility from Bangladesh Bank against the term loan given in Bangladeshi currency for the purchase of parts and technology products for the technological modernisation and development of export oriented industries.
