CMP hosts cybersecurity webinar for female bankers of BRAC Bank

The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), in association with Bangladesh Police Women Network (BPWN), has recently organised a webinar on cybersecurity for women employees of BRAC Bank on Tuesday.
A total of 950 female employees of BRAC Bank from across the country participated in the webinar, said a press release.
Amena Begum, BPM, the newly promoted Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, and the President of Bangladesh Police Women Network (BPWN), inaugurated the webinar.
"Covid-19 has led us to innovate new ways of communication. We are excited to run the webinar with 950 participants with Bangladesh Police and BPWN on Cybersafety for Women Bankers", Amena Begum said.
Mahfuza Liza, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Police Headquarters, Bangladesh Police; and Mir Abu Touhid, BPM (Bar), Additional Inspector General (LIC), Police Headquarters, Bangladesh Police, conducted the webinar held.
"Our female colleagues are highly accomplished women and true masters of their tasks. We have in place a safeguarding policy to safeguard our employees. In the wake of digitization, it is also important that they know about the sanctity of data. They should be able to contribute to the greater good of our digital transformation journey and protect cyber threats," said Akhteruddin Mahmood, BRAC Bank's Head of HR.
The workshop topics focused on cybersecurity awareness, common mistakes such as password-sharing, clicking on a hoax, interacting with unknown people, etc. The facilitators also discussed the government support initiatives to help women victims in cyberspace.
This cybersecurity awareness programme is part of the police cyber support for women (PCSW) by CMP. It's a Facebook-based platform run by Police Headquarters of Bangladesh Police.
