BRAC bank has recently introduced paperless Personal Identification Number (PIN) for its debit cardholders to support its idea of green banking.

The bank's customers can generate their own PIN using phone banking after obtaining their debit cards, said a press release.

Customers can contact the call centre of the bank using their registered phone number for activating their debit card and set a PIN of their own choice.

The bank's Head of Retail Banking Mahiul Islam said "BRAC Bank is committed to enhance customer's banking experience through digitalization. In this era, paperless PIN generation for debit cards is one of our many customer-centric and green banking initiatives. We aim to bring more innovative solutions soon for our customers."

BRAC bank is one of the founding members of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV), a network of banking leaders around the world committed to advancing positive change including green banking. It is the only representative to the GABV forum from Bangladesh.
