The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has directed the Mobile Financial Services (MFS) providers to keep sufficient money at agent points so that the beneficiaries of government-announced cash assistance can withdraw money smoothly.

The central bank issued a circular in this regard today.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the disbursement of Tk1,250 crore cash assistance among 50 lakh poor families hit hard amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The fund will be distributed among the beneficiaries through the mobile financial services (MFSs) – bKash, Rocket, Nagad and SureCash.
