Agrani Bank Limited has secured the first position among the state-owned commercial banks in the government's Annual Performance Agreement (APA) evaluation for fiscal year 2019-2020.

The bank was awarded with a crest and acknowledgement certificate to honor the achievement, says a press release.

Mohammad Shams-Ul-Islam, managing director and CEO of Agrani Bank Limited, received the accolade on behalf of the bank at the 9th monthly APA meeting.

Expressing his gratitude towards the bank's 13,000 executives, officers and employees, including the board of directors, Shams-Ul-Islam hoped that Agrani Bank will continue to keep up the good work. 

 The Annual Performance Agreement (APA) 2020-21 meeting of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Finance and Department of Financial Institutions was held on 9 March.

The meeting was presided over by Md Asadul Islam, senior secretary of the finance ministrty.
