Agrani Bank to provide housing loans to university teachers, UGC staff

The Agrani Bank Limited has signed an agreement with the University Grants Commission (UGC), Rajshahi University, Khulna University and the Finance Division to provide housing loans for faculty and staff of public universities and UGC staff.
According to a media statement, under this agreement, the bank will provide the loans under the House Building Loan Policy 2019.
The deal was signed on Tuesday at the secretariat office of the Finance Division, a division of the finance ministry.
Md Ekhlasur Rahman, additional secretary to the Finance Division signed the agreement documents as the chief guest.
Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam, managing director of Agrani Bank; Sadhan Ranjan Ghosh, treasurer of Khulna University; and Professor AKM Mostafizur Rahman Al Arif, treasurer of Rajshahi University; signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Other senior officials from these entities were also present on the occasion.
