‘We didn’t feel any side effects after receiving the jab’

Senior officials of Agrani Bank have received vaccines on the fifth day of the nationwide Corona vaccination programme.

The bankers took the jab at the vaccination centre of the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital at Agargaon in the capital at 11am on Thursday, said a press release the bank issued yesterday.

"We didn't feel any side effects after receiving the vaccines," said Agrani Bank Managing Director Shams-ul-Islam.

He urged everyone to be vaccinated for the betterment of their own family, society and country.

Bangladesh is one of the first countries in the world to be able to ensure the vaccine at the beginning, said the banker.

There are many countries where people are not sure when they will get the vaccine whereas the government is successfully conducting vaccination activities across the country, observed Shams-ul-Islam.

This has only been possible because of the dedicated efforts of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to keep the people of the country safe, he recalled.
