Banking hour has been fixed from 10:00am to 1:00pm for now.

The Bangladesh Bank in a circular on Thursday said this timing will continue until a further notice.

It also asked banks to keep open their all branches in industrial areas.

Besides, every bank will have to keep at least one branch open in each district or at important places of districts.

The central bank also directed banks to keep foreign currency dealing authorised dealer branches open in metropolitan or divisional cities.

Banks have also been asked to keep their branches open in other important areas on their own consideration.

From March 29, banks have been providing services on a limited scale during the countrywide shutdown enforced to prevent the coronavirus spread.
