No decision has been taken yet to stop air communication with any country.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali revealed the information while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a rooftop restaurant on Sunday.

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation has made the 150-seat restaurant at the 6,600 square feet roof of its Sher-e-Bangla Nagar head office in the capital, offering local and foreign cuisines at affordable prices.

The minister said we will resume flights from our country as soon as other countries, including Saudi Arabia, which have suspended flights due to pandemic, lift their bans.

It is learned that the open roof of the tourist building has 150 seats with an area of 6,600 square feet. The restaurant offers local and foreign food at affordable prices.

Mahbub Ali said, the present time is the era of competition. In order to survive the competition, the service quality of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation has to be further enhanced to gain the trust and confidence of customers. There is no substitute to increasing service quality for achieving customer satisfaction.

The Minister said the tourism industry like other sectors of Bangladesh is also moving forward with specific development targets. At present, under the direction of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Tourism Board and Bangladesh Tourism Corporation have taken various initiatives for the development of tourism. Through the implementation of these initiatives, Bangladesh will become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world in the future.

Mahbub Ali said, "I think many developed countries in the world who are at the top of the tourism industry do not have so many elements. We just lack coordination. We couldn't brand, we couldn't highlight our tourism assets."

Chairman of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Ram Chandra Das was present as a special guest at the ceremony while Senior Secretary of Tourism Ministry Mahibul Haque and Bangladesh Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Jabed Ahmed attended as special guests.
