At the event, 34 young pilots received graduation certificates and crests.

Managing Director of Galaxy Flying Academy Mohammad Younus presided over the ceremony.

Yonus, also the chairman of Younus Group of Companies, said his academy would soon add simulators and multi-engines in training operations.

Speakers at the ceremony highlighted the growing shortage of pilots across the globe.

They said Bangladesh can help mitigate the crisis by running top-quality pilot training schools such as Galaxy Flying Academy.

Former CAAB chairman Group Captain (retired) Shawkat ul Islam, distinguished freedom fighter and aviation expert Captain Shahab Uddin Ahmed Bir Uttam, Managing Director of Novo Air Mofizur Rahman and senior CAAB officials were present at the programme.

So far, 324 student pilots enrolled at the academy and 110 graduated after completing training. The academy currently has 115 students.

The event ended after a cultural programme where the academy students performed.
