Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended its flights to Oman for a week as the country has imposed restrictions over a new variant of Covid.

A Muscat flight scheduled tonight has also been cancelled as part of the decision, said Md Mokabbir Hossain, managing director of the national flag carrier.

Earlier in the day, Biman cancelled its all flights to Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam from today as one-week flight restriction has been imposed by Saudi Arabia amid Covid-19 pandemic.

However, Biman is yet to decide on halting air connection with UK, where a new strain of dreaded coronavirus has been identified and it is spreading fast.
