Biman to operate Sylhet-London flights

Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate direct flights on the Sylhet-London route to make the journey easier for Sylhet residents and expatriates residing in London.

A press briefing will be held at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on October 4 at 9:00am regarding the new flight route, read a press release issued by Biman on Friday.

State Minister for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali will preside over the event and Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will be the chief guest at the event.

Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed, Air Operations Authority Chairman Sajjadul Hasan and Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Air Vice-Marshal M Mofidur Rahman will also be present as special guests.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines' current fleet has a total of 18 aircraft including six Dreamliners.

The national flag carrier hopes that a large number of expatriate Bangladeshis from the United Kingdom and travelers, students and businessmen from different countries going to Europe will be interested to travel using Biman.
