Biman extends flight suspension till April 14

Earlier, Bangladesh cut air connectivity with 10 countries on March 21

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended its flight suspension on both international and domestic routes till April 14 to stop spreading coronavirus.

Biman Managing Director Md Mokabbir Hossain confirmed the matter today.

Earlier, Bangladesh cut air connectivity with 10 countries on March 21. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also extended the flight suspension to 10 countries till April 15 on March 28.

The government decided to suspend domestic air connection in the country from March 25 till further notice.

So far, eight people have died while 70 others have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Bangladesh.

As of Saturday, over 12 lakh people were infected globally with the highly contagious coronavirus, while 64,774 have died from it.
