Application for BASIS National ICT Awards kicks off

The primary application process for the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) National ICT Awards has begun.

The interested can apply through the BASIS official web address for the awards from Tuesday until July 18. The award distribution ceremony will be held on September 13.

The third edition of the event will award 105 participants in 35 categories, said BASIS president Syed Almas Kabir at a press conference at the BASIS Auditorium in the capital.       

The objective of the event is to recognise outstanding achievements by individuals, students, entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises and organisations, he added.

Besides, the selected projects will bear the country’s flag at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards-2019 (APICTA Awards) to be organised in Vietnam, said the BASIS president.

At the press conference, BASIS Senior Vice-President Farhana A Rahman, National ICT Awards Convener Didarul Alam, BASIS Vice-President (Admin) Shoeb Ahmed Masud and Vice-President (Finance) Mushfiqur Rahman, among others, were also present.
